Beginning with God
EVERYTHING begins with God.
HE is the Creator.
We are His creation.
If we don't know "everything begins with God," then we tend to think that we are the center of everything.
Romans 11:36, “For from Him and through Him and to Him are all things. To Him be the glory forever. Amen.”

The Gospel is the message of how the whole Godhead worked in time and history to make known His eternal purposes towards us in Christ. Yes, the Gospel is God’s invitation and provision for us to enter into a full and glorious relationship with Him as heirs and citizens of His Kingdom, both now and someday to be reunited with Him in Heaven.
But we don’t stop there. There’s so much more. A door has been opened wide for us to experience union with God now, on earth, and to live an entirely New Life in continuous fellowship with Him. In fact, we get to experience the reality of the Gospel every single day of our life on earth. That’s God’s intention towards us: to love us and live life to the fullest in Christ now.
Romans 5:17, "For if by the transgression of the one, death reigned through the one, much more those who receive the abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ. "
The Gospel
So much rests on the foundation of "Identity." Starting with God and His desire to draw us into an intimate relationship, we can see ourselves as He sees us in Christ and His purposes for creating us in His image. Identity is spiritual! In Christ, we are no longer bound to temporal earthly limitations! Praise The Lord!

True Identity
There is an individual and corporate response as the body of Christ to the Call of God. Knowing He created us for Himself and He initiated reconciliation through the death of His Son on the cross and granted to us new life in Christ, we are no longer independent souls pursuing what seems best to us. We are new creatures in Christ, as Paul says in 2 Corinthians 5:18. We are now under the authority of Christ -- NO LONGER slaves to sin, but we are souls SET FREE to live in the Life and Power of Christ! NOW, we live toward an entirely different, eternal reality: The Kingdom of God!
1 Peter 2:9, “But you are A CHOSEN RACE, a royal PRIESTHOOD, A HOLY NATION, A PEOPLE FOR God's OWN POSSESSION, so that you may proclaim the excellencies of Him who has called you out of darkness into His marvelous light;"
Philippians 3:14, "I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus."
The Upward Call
". . . to whom God willed to make known what the wealth of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles is, the mystery that is Christ in you, the hope of glory."

The Gospel, the whole glorious Gospel, is God’s Good News! As the years go by, the goodness of God’s Good News seems to swell in its greatness and glory to me. For the majority of my life, I struggled to grasp the bigger picture of the Christian life. The understanding of the gospel I grew up with was one part belief in God (that He existed) and the other part, “trying harder” to be the excellent Christian I was told He wanted me to be. As I weathered those years, lapsing into self-effort, then tumbling into defeat, I eventually discovered I had started in the wrong place: with me. In fact, the gospel I learned as a child was more me-centered than it was God-centered. It was more “What am I going to get out of it?" rather than coming to know and love the Lord Jesus Christ . A Biblical gospel escaped my attention until much later in life.
These foundational, Biblical truths are the bedrock of our faith in Christ. Where we begin in our faith with God really does greatly matter.

Deb Krum loves Jesus. She’s been in vocational ministry for over 15 years, mostly serving the Lord in rural towns, sharing the life of Christ. She is passionate about God, and His Gospel as it is written in the Scriptures, all to the glory of God. She loves being available to the Lord -- trusting wherever and whenever He sends her. Her great joy is to share Him with women and encourage them to live fully in Jesus.
