Greetings Dear Sisters In Christ!
The Roots Up team joyfully invites you to join women throughout the United States and beyond for a truly epic conversation over one of the most doctrinally rich passages of Scripture in the New Testament, the Letter of Romans. This year we will be deep diving in Romans chapters 5-8. Our adventure will take place at Quaker Hill Camp and Conference Center in McCall, Idaho, October 23-25. For those of you who will not be able to travel to McCall, we will be hosting all the Roots Up sessions live through Zoom. All in-person and Zoom registrants can follow the linked button below to register.
Our theme is, “Not Without Jesus!” As we consider these chapters in Romans, and other portions of Scripture, our anchor and absolute source for everything is Christ Jesus. There is no fruitfulness in a believer’s life without Him. There is no living the Christian life without Christ. In reality, there is no obedience or faith without Him. What we have been called and brought into as citizens of the Kingdom of God is a completely different way of living on planet earth. Our life is in Christ for God’s glory!

“Salvation is not as if we invited God into “our” story, but that God called us into “His” Story, for His glory!”
Wow! Well, that’s a huge, glorious reality we will be soaking our sweet hearts and minds in at Roots Up!
We are trusting God that our time together at RU 2026 is going to bring new insights, changes in our perspective and adjustments in our worldview. Praise the Lord! Let’s open the doors and windows of our souls and bring in the light of day and the fresh air of the whole Gospel truth. This is what we have been called into, our Life in Christ Jesus. Let’s go there with robust confidence in the Lord!
Preparing Our Hearts for Roots Up 2026
Because Roots Up is more like a Gospel Bootcamp than a retreat, we actually encourage you to prepare yourselves in the content (listed below) prior to your arrival. In preparation for our time together in October, you are invited to take part in several reading opportunities, music, a book recommendation, and podcasts. We trust they will be a rich blessing to you.
Weekly Romans Zoom Readings: Tuesdays beginning September 22 - October 13, 6-7 PM (MST). On these calls, we’ll read chapters 5-8 of Romans, briefly make observations and pray together. You will be amazed how this will bless your RU experience!! Zoom in and listen or read along with others. Please contact us for the Zoom Link and password
Music: We invite you to pre-worship the songs that will be woven into the teaching at Roots Up this year. These songs were birthed out of our preparations over the last several months. You can find them on all major music platforms including Spotify, I Heart Radio and Amazon Music, just search Grace Tapestries.
Book: We joyfully recommend that you read True Spirituality by Francis Schaeffer. This book was written in 1971 with a God-breathed vision and clarity for the days in which we are living. It’s not a quick read, but a weighty exploration into the heart of God’s Gospel.
Podcast: We invite you to tune into Rooted + Woven, our podcast that covers several topics about our life in Christ. You can find this on all major streaming platforms. Be on the lookout for Roots Up preparation podcasts.

Deb Krum loves Jesus. She’s been in vocational ministry for over 15 years, mostly serving the Lord in rural towns, sharing the life of Christ. She is passionate about God, and His Gospel as it is written in the Scriptures, all to the glory of God. She loves being available to the Lord -- trusting wherever and whenever He sends her. Her great joy is to share Him with women and encourage them to live fully in Jesus.
Meet Deb
Lori Lowe has a sincere, wholehearted love and devotion for the Lord that began early in her life. Her mother steadily pointed her to Jesus. Though she would tell you there were a few years of being disinterested in “religious” things, it’s Jesus she always loved and still does. Lori’s quick wit and practical mind make her a joy to listen to. You just can’t help wanting to be her best friend. Her depth of knowledge in God’s Word is rich and insightful. Aside from the Lord Himself, her passion is for His whole, glorious Gospel. She wants believers everywhere to believe the whole message of the truth. Lori is married to Mike Lowe. Their home is on a beautiful forested ranch in Rathdrum, Idaho. They have two grown sons, with full households of their own. When Lori is not out tending her chickens or harvesting their large garden, you can find her enjoying the sweet simplicity of her nine grandchildren.

These are ordinary women with extraordinary delivery due to their sole and soul-dependence upon Christ Himself. As a believer—or even one curious about the expanse of God’s love--we are being called into higher, wider, deeper existence in Him.
